Volunteers Week takes place 1-7 June every year and it’s an opportunity to celebrate and say a huge thank you to our volunteers across the county for their invaluable contribution.

A global pandemic may have changed how we currently work, however, that has not stopped our support services. The focus is still very much on supporting volunteers to take on coronavirus-related volunteering roles to help those most isolated and vulnerable, and Covid Vaccination Centre Marshals supporting the NHS run vaccine programme across Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Our volunteers and community groups have been at the heart of the pandemic response process and this is why we feel that it’s so important to acknowledge and celebrate the endless contributions they provide.

We’ve got a calendar of online events going on this week, so please get involved!
