Our Lancashire reserve the right to edit or delete any entry on their site without warning or recourse. An arbitration process has been developed for anyone who is dissatisfied by any action taken by Our Lancashire in this respect.

GROUPS THAT WE ENCOURAGE TO JOIN OUR LANCASHIRE

Our Lancashire is a free on line directory to promote and connect social action Groups for community interest and welcome groups that;

• Bring people together for a common purpose
• Get involved in community projects
• Protect the environment
• Engage people in physical activity
• Protect their neighbours and look out for them
• Keep people engaged and organise social activities

Our Lancashire will automatically contact a group’s contact after 90 days if content has not been updated with a view to getting content updated or archived. This is to keep the site live and up to date for the benefit of users. To achieve this it is important that the appropriate group contact email address is given rather than a larger organization generic email contact so that emails do not sit in an inbox unattended.

All groups will be asked to agree to the Terms and Conditions featured here in order to qualify for inclusion.

REGISTERING AN EVENT
Events can only be advertised by registered Groups that meet the criteria above. Upon registering a Group to the site it is an easy process to advertise events. Our Lancashire take no responsibility for event listed on this site which remains with the event organiser.

ACCURACY OF CONTENT
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on the Our Lancashire Website and is presented in good faith, Our Lancashire cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any errors that have occurred. We encourage the groups to regularly update and monitor their content and we will review this accordingly. Groups featured on the site understand that it is their responsibility to keep THEIR content up to date and Our Lancashire will endeavour to refresh pages in order to maintain an accurate and interesting site for Our Lancashire residents. If Groups cease activity or end promotions, they will delete web content or advise Our Lancashire.

We recommended that you always check with Groups and organisers that their activity, service or group meets your requirements. We cannot recommend or endorse any Groups listed based on information provided on Our Lancashire.

SAFE WORKING PRACTICES AND KEEPING SAFE
All groups will be responsible for safeguarding, health and safety aspects including suitable insurance, risk assessments and vetting procedures such as DBS checks. Please note whilst there are some verification checks, the site administrators do not routinely carry out any criminal records checks relating to activity on the site. This is the responsibility of the Groups listed.
We recommended that always check with Groups and organisers that their activity, service or group meets your requirements in a safe environment. We cannot recommend or endorse any Groups listed based on information provided on Our Lancashire. In addition, reassure yourself that the activity that is advertised feels right and is in a public place or there is a good reason as to why it isn’t. Check with others who attend also and assure yourself that the groups have everything in place to meet your needs (health and safety policies, first aiders and where appropriate DBS checked staff and volunteers. If it doesn’t feel right then it probably isn’t so please tell us ASAP.
