Let’s Join Together

On Our Lancashire Day 2019 community groups from across the county joined us at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool to celebrate the Our Lancashire website – the one stop shop for community groups and events. Social action groups generously gave their time to tell their story, to perform and provide a memorable afternoon to over 400 people. We were joined by representatives from partner organisations to tell the story of Our Lancashire, how it came about and our plans for the future.  Guests were welcome by the harmonious trio The Bluebirds and Dave Guest introduced the afternoon of entertainment. We were treated to live performances and several groups had prepared short films to illustrate what their groups do. We heard from group attendees what a positive difference the social interactions had made, we learnt of new skills acquired and new friendships made.
