Women’s Institute Heath Charnock WI

The WI is the largest voluntary women’s organisation in the UK. It plays a unique role in enabling women to develop new skills and gives them opportunities to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.
Heath Charnock WI was founded in 1937. We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at The United Reformed Church on Railway Rd, Adlington,
We are happy to welcome visitors and new members.

What we do:

We meet each month and usually have a speaker. We have a Book Club, a Craft club and a Walking Group. There are regular visits to the theatre and cinema. Days out. Craft workshops. We also get involved in local events. We also join in with Lancashire Federation WIs for events which are entertaining and educational. At our meeting we have varied and knowledgable speakers, demonstrations or entertainment. Something for everyone to enjoy. Tea/coffee is served after the meeting, with cakes and biscuits (many homemade). This gives members and guests time to catch up with WI friends and make new ones. Annual membership is £43

Find new interests and learn new skills. Listen to good speakers. Become involved in the local community and make new friends. Visit places of interest, enjoy theatre trips, local events. Support national campaigns.
