Wade Hall Community Association

Relationships are the building blocks to successful community-led development. Critical foundations for working together successfully include respect and trust, a documented common focus, a sense of cohesion, proactive engagement strategies and effective processes for talking, working and learning together.

What we do:

We provide social, health and education sessions and opportunities to improve wellbeing and a positive outcome for the local community. These include a youth club, dance group, study group, coffee mornings and groups for the elderly. These services are provided by our volunteers. Fundraising events and active groups help, not only to bring the community closer together, but also to increase our revenue. Our aim is to provide services from mother and toddler up to the elderly. It is an area of high deprivation and the estate has a high number of low-income families, and drug and alcohol abuse problems. We provide services that get young people off the street and avoid isolation of the elderly.

Activities:

Children's summer holidays program providing activities and food packages.
