The Friendship Centre
The Friendship Centre was established in 2000 by a group of older people who wanted a place to meet and socialise in the centre of Lancaster.
We are open three mornings a week, all year round except bank holidays, a one-week break in the summer, and a break at Christmas.
Daily admission is £1.50 including a hot drink and biscuits. There is an annual membership fee, plus a small charge for most of the classes and activities.
What we do:
We offer a wide range of activities and classes to keep your brain and body fit, as well as the opportunity to meet new people and benefit from mutual support. We also serve two lunches a week - homemade soup with a roll and cake on Wednesdays, and local award-winning fish & chips on Fridays. We use church hall facilities but are an entirely separate charity. The building is fully accessible. If you require additional assistance, please bring someone with you - carers are not charged.Activities:
Mondays: Singing Group, Cards & Craft, Sequence Dancing Wednesdays: Cryptic Crosswords, Art Group, Local History, Gentle Exercise, Soup & Roll Lunch Fridays: Keep Fit, Knit & Natter, Fish & Chips LunchLinks:
