Sight Loss Support – Morecambe

The team at Galloway’s has been working incredibly hard to support blind and partially sighted people, their friends and family during the covid-19 pandemic. Our digital and telephone based services are incredibly popular and it has been wonderful to speak to many of you during what we know has been a challenging time. We are monitoring guidance closely as we plan for some face to face services to resume. Please see our website and facebook pages for up-to-date information.

What we do:

Low Vision Assessments to look at the best way of improving your remaining sight * Technology Service to help you access and use the most appropriate equipment for you * Emotional and practical support to help you understand your eye condition * Information, advice and guidance around all areas of sight loss * Outreach support in a variety of community locations

Activities:

Peer support groups, social groups, outdoor activity programme, day trips, talking newspapers, and many more. During the covid-19 pandemic, our groups have been 'meeting' online via Zoom and our Talking Together telephone service.
