Rossall Beach Residents & Community Group

We are a group of people who come together to look after the shingle beach at Cleveleys.  It all started back in 2008 but we have developed into a much larger group with over 300 members and became a registered charity(2012). We received The Queens Award for Voluntary Service an honour bestowed on us in 2014 which is the MBE for volunteer groups.

What we do:

About 8 years ago we made the acquaintance of the Marine Conservation Society and started to work with them, developing our environmental work and involvement in the campaign to clean up bathing waters on the Fylde Coast. We have regular monthly beach cleans on Rossall Beach, all equipment is provided and after the beach clean we all go down to the Venue for a well earned hot drink and a good old natter! We also have informal monthly meetings at Cleveleys Community Church Centre with a different guest speaker and topic at each meeting. Everyone is welcome to join in our activities and membership is not essential.

Activities:

Community Group Activities including working together to improve the area for everyone’s enjoyment.
