Preston North End Sporting Memories

The PNE Sporting Memories programme is an initiative run by Preston North End Community and Education Trust alongside the Sporting Memories Foundation. The session is open to people over 50 who are living with dementia, depression or suffer from loneliness, but also welcome the family members, friends, carers or support workers of those who are attending.

What we do:

The programme aims to help people reminisce about previous memories, experiences or moments in their lives through the power of sport. Sports memorabilia, past sporting events, physical activities, quizzes and guest speakers are used to create discussions around sporting events and memories. Sessions are held every Tuesday morning, from 11am until 12:30pm at Finney House, Flintoff Way, Preston, PR1 6AB. All sessions are FREE to attend and refreshments are provided.

Activities:

During sessions we do activites such as; catching up with weekly sporting news, quizzes, discussions around past memories or events and sports memorabilia as well as having guest speakers too.
