What we do:The aims and objectives of the Preston Historical Society are to promote the study of local history in Preston and Lancashire by way of social and natural history talks given by historians and speakers. Our meetings take place in the lovely church of St George the Martyr - George Street - Preston City Centre PR1 2NP. The talks are held on the first Monday of every month during the season and start at 19.15pm and conclude at approximately 20.30pm followed by a tea, coffee and biscuits.
Activities:We also organise summer walks around Preston and the surrounding areas these are often led by local historians or sometimes by our committee members. They are very popular, interesting and a good social outing for our members.
