Parbold Wildlife Group

The aim of the Group is to promote the protection of wildlife and the enhancement of the landscapes of Parbold for the benefit of the community and to assist in maintaining the Biological Heritage Site at Chapel field, which is owned by Parbold Parish Council. Also to promote the site for education purposes.

What we do:

We arrange a varied programme of activities which includes talks, wildlife walks/visits and practical conservation tasks throughout the year. Talks and business meetings take place at the Red Lion in Newburgh (upstairs room), and we arrange walks and visits during the spring, summer and early autumn. We also work together with Parbold Parish Council to manage Chapel Lane Biological Heritage Site in Parbold - this includes updating the site management plan, gaining funding to support the costs of management work, and undertaking a variety of practical work to maintain and enhance the site’s conservation value.
