Harry Middleton Cycling Club
Group activities have now restarted.
HMCC is an organisation whereby like-minded individuals can ride together socially, and in sportives both on a domestic and international basis.
Started in 2008 it has grown to 350+ members. There are usually 4 or 5 rides on a Sunday, all aimed at different levels of fitness & ability. Members support each other and offer their skills, experience and time to help run the club. We are ‘the friendly club’ just come along and say hello.
What we do:We provide a welcoming environment for new & experienced cyclists alike. Membership is free, all that we ask is that you have suitable insurance. On a Sunday morning you can turn up, say hello and that you are new to the group. We will look after you and help you decide which of the group rides would best suit you and ask a club member to be your 'ride buddy'. If you are new to cycling we can help you with ride etiquette and lots of general advice. You will not get left behind on the ride. As well as the regular Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday rides many members with different amounts of free time organise rides at other times.
Activities:The best time to come along for the first time is Sunday morning, we meet from 8.45 -9.00 outside The Bicycle Lounge in Ormskirk. We organise various social rides, social events, a Go Ride Scheme to encourage young riders and a couple of races
