GrOwING WILD – Community Allotment and Wildspace

GrOwING WILD community allotment and wildspace is a volunteer community group our aim is to be a place for people to enjoy. The site is a place for individuals, groups and organisations to get involved in nature based activities or simply use the outdoor space as place for creative and educational activities. We have a more conventional allotment area, a wilder allotment space, a small fruit orchard, a Forest Garden, a wildflower meadow, a large nature wildspace.

What we do:

We currently run regular weekly sessions - Wednesday and Sunday afternoons. Activities include gardening, conservation, site maintenance and development, nature based crafts and creative activities, Forest school and bushcraft, wildflower meadow creation and maintenance. We run additional sessions in response to local community and organisations that want to use the site. We are developing our site wildlife corridors - with regular winter hedgerow planting.
