Fylde Coast Womens Aid
Fylde Coast Women’s Aid is a dynamic service which has supported victims of domestic
abuse across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre for over 25 years.
FCWA offers a holistic 24 hour responsive service with 3 main areas of provision:
1. Safe temporary accommodation.
2. Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA), outreach and recovery.
3. Children and Young People’s services
What we do:
1. Safe temporary accommodation. FCWA manages 3 womens refuges accommodating up to 12 women and their children escaping domestic abuse. 2. Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA), outreach and recovery. As the service has grown, FCWA has identified funding to develop specialist posts to ensure that our services meet the needs of all victims of domestic abuse. This Includes a Minority worker, a male worker, a Stalking Advocacy Caseworker, a Health worker based at Blackpool Victoria IDVA and most recently an IRIS worker who works in GP surgeries. 3. Children and Young People’s services who work with 10 – 18 year olds around internet safety, CSE and healthy relationships.Activities:
