We run a warehouse working with surplus food. In ordinary times we support neighbourhood surplus food clubs, help groups of volunteers to get set up and to run a club. Our focus is on alleviating poverty, social inclusion and building cooperation and a sense of community. We’re also concerned with the environment and the need for the food system to be more sustainable.

What we do:

We run a food warehouse. We gather in food from manufacturers, farms, retail and redistributors. We quality control, repackage and portion food. We have professional standards and a HACCP system in place. We have walk-in cold rooms and freezers, a food prep/packaging room, and a refrigerated van. We have paid staff and a brilliant team of volunteers. Our aim is to encourage and support more people to run their own surplus food clubs. We can take away the challenge of things like managing records and being GDPR compliant, managing money, keeping accounts and a club bank account, keeping up with food safety and EHO requirements - we help people to do the bit they want to do, which is running the club for their own neighbourhood.

Running a food warehouse - volunteer opportunities available in warehouse and office. Training and helping set up and run surplus food clubs - people can approach us if they'd like to see a club running in their neighbourhood
