Darwen Probus Club
The purpose of the Darwen Probus Club is to give retired men the opportunity to meet for coffee and meet other gentlemen in a social gathering and enjoy presentations and talks by visiting speakers on a wide range of subjects and experiences.
Try us out for two or three visits, bring a friend, absolutely no obligation whatsoever. All that’s required is a quick call to 01254-773868.
What we do:
Our meetings take place every two weeks on a Thursday morning for tea or coffee and biscuits , this commences at 10 am with a prompt 10.30 am start for the speakers presentation. We cover a wide range of subjects with talks lasting about 45 to 60 minutes including any questions. Presentations are sometimes supported by visual aids .Activities:
We arrange a Spring and Autumn lunch for members and their partners. This is optional with various venues chosen. Our AGM is normally held in October when any member can air their views. A Christmas Carol service is held each year in the church.If you are interested in this group please contact:
