CSI (Challenge through Sport Initiative) Blackburn with Darwen
The Challenge Through Sport Initiative (CSI) is an innovative behaviour change programme for people in recovery from substance and alcohol misuse but also including help for people with mental health issues, gambling addictions, isolation and just as importantly, their families.
There is no need to book, simply turn up ready for some physical activity and laughter.

What we do:Supporting Blackburn with Darwen Public Health Team to raise the profile of the Local Stop Smoking Service. The Service is for current Smokers wishing to receive support to Stop Smoking. Smokers should be resident in BwD to registered with a BwD GP. If you are over the age of 13 years you can be offered up to 12 weeks of behaviour change counselling and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) from a Community Pharmacy. We are currently setting up Quit Talk drop in sessions to promote the service and to chat to smokers about the support that can be offered. Alongside this we are looking for Smoking Champions who are able to support others to Quit, if you have been affected by Smoking your lived experince can help others.
Activities:Quit Talk Drop in: Wednesday 10am-1pm (June 8th & 22nd, July 6th & 20th - fortnightly drop in) - Albion Mill Community Hub. BB2 4LX. Thursday 10am - 12pm (June 22nd, July 27th, Aug 25th - every fourth Thursday) - BwD Central Library. BB2 1AG.
