Clitheroe Bike Library
Clitheroe Bike Library, set up by Breaking Cycles CIC, is a bike library for the community. The aim is to provide people with access to bikes for a low cost to promote physical and mental wellbeing whilst using sustainable transport and providing people with the opportunity to meet like minded people. We ask for a small fee of £10 per week for the hire to cover running costs.
What we do:Clitheroe Bike Library has a range of bikes and works with riders of all ages and abilities. You can hire our town bikes for free as these have been sponsored by local businesses. Road and mountain bikes are £10 per week. Through this scheme, you can access National Standard Cycle Training, Learn to Ride sessions, Balanceability (infants) and Bikeability (juniors), provided by our qualified instructor Phil Wade. In the Spring/ Summer, there are organised rides, where you will have the opportunity to meet like minded people who enjoy the outdoors, getting exercise and socialising using a sustainable method of transport.
Activities:• Organised rides in the Spring and Summer months - details to come. • National Standard Cycle Training • Learn to Ride • Balance and Bikeability
