Chorley U3A

We are a self-help voluntary organisation of retired and semi-retired people meeting to take part in learning, leisure and physical activities which are organised by our members. Our present membership is over 400 and new members are most welcome – come & join us!

What we do:

Our General Meetings take place on the fourth Monday of the month at St George's Church Hall, Chorley, starting at 1.30pm. Usually we have an outside speaker, though sometimes the meeting is taken by our own members. The format is usually news, speaker and then informal chat over a cup of tea or coffee. Coming to the General Meeting is the best way to find out what is going on in our U3A and The North West area. The bi-monthly Newsletter is available and it is a good opportunity to meet members outside of the group or groups you attend. NOTE: There is no meeting in August or December

Activities:

Groups cover physical activities such as walking, yoga and crown green bowling, learning activities such as languages, art appreciation and craft groups, and groups for card games, scrabble, pub lunches etc - see our website for full details
