CASH (Care, Advise, Support, Help)
BwD Carers service don’t only support carers of those with an illness or disability, we also help those caring for someone with an alcohol and or drug addiction.
When it comes to talking about addiction, it seems as though this is a difficult subject for many. We have the CASH group to support the carer or loved one affected by addiction.
We also have a six week course designed to support you the carer, for more information and to book your place, please get in touch.
What we do:We understand that addiction doesn’t just affect the person addicted, but also the family and friends around them, often leaving them suffering in silence however, the CASH group is here to help. If you are affected by addiction, we offer free, confidential advice and support to you as a carer. We have also planned a 6-week course, designed specifically for those carers who struggle and don’t know where to turn. This course will give you the knowledge and skills to continue in your caring role with confidence, and in turn make your life that little bit easier, reducing stress and anxiety. The CASH group takes place evey other Tursday 1-3pm. (due to Covid this is currently taking place on line)
Activities:• Professional Information, support, help and guidance •Day trips, activities, events, informational sessions from outside agencies, drug and alcohol related information • Six week course designed specifically for those affected by drugs and alcohol
