Carrom & Chat
We are a local group that enjoy coming together over a game of Carrom. Carrom is a traditional Indian sport played sat around a small table for 2 or 4 players at any one time.
The game is well established amongst the BAME community and is really enjoyed by the older adults. However, we also welcome young people with a competitive edge, to put their skills to the test against some of the more established players. Come along to the Audley Centre, Chester Street, Blackburn between 11am – 1pm and engage in a safe, comfortable environment.
It is easy to pick up the basics of Carrom, below is a link to a short video to help you, but just come along and join in!

What we do:IMO work closely with the local community educating, upskilling and providing an environment where they feel safe and comfortable to open up and discuss issues that are not normally easy for the group participants to have, such as low mood or feeling worthless and helpless or generally not feeling great. Support for specific mental health difficulties is also provided and advice, guidance and signposting to relevant services is also available. This group is intended to bring a feel good factor for the group participants allowing them to mingle and feel happy talking to each other with support available for a persons health and wellbeing should they require it.
Activities:The Carrom game is a traditional Indian game, played by 2-4 players. It does not require any prior knowledge however there is an element of skill involved which you pick up as you go.
