Broadfield Community Garden
Broadfield Community Garden is situated in the heart of Leyland in the Broadfield estate. The garden is a vibrant community space, open to all. We aim to bring wildlife and people together, through growing food, hosting workshops, and being a hub of environmental education. Soon to include a secluded and peaceful sensory garden and more community spaces.
What we do:We aim to bring people together to grow and learn about nutritional organic food. We donate produce to food banks and other community groups. We also provide free craft workshops, open days, and have a pick-your-own apple orchard. The whole garden is run with permaculture values; organically and to attract wildlife. It is a space for harmony and mindfulness where fun outdoor education sessions are free for everyone. More than this, we offer a sanctuary in an urban town and guidance for isolated and vulnerable people. Beginners can grow their own food and interact with nature in a meaningful way. We bring the community together for the benefit of wildlife and people.
Activities:Volunteers are welcome to potter in the garden, join craft and outdoor workshops, harvest produce or simply sit and enjoy the space. Join as a member for free to have your say in the management of the garden and to contribute to the local community.
