Blokes United

Blokes United has been exclusively set up to offer provision to those not supported by services who may be feeling socially isolated and unable to access mainstream football. Typically, this would include males who have lost their social networks through, for example, work and / or family commitments, relationship breakdowns, unemployment and bereavement.

What we do:

In addition to the football each session is sponsored by a venue where players can go to socialise and get to know each other better after playing. Should any player divulge any information that may require more specialist input / interventions then our volunteers are able to signpost to the most appropriate support.

Activities:

• Mondays: Darwen Academy 7-8pm sponsored by the Entwistle Hotel • Wednesdays: Witton Park, Blackburn 2-3pm / Parklands High School, Chorley 8-9pm sponsored by Chorley FC • Thursdays: Witton Academy, Blackburn 7-8pm sponsored by the Butlers Arms
