SAS RIGHTS Wellbeing – Blackburn with Darwen
Our group is commmitted to tackling isolation, helping to keep people mentally and physically well, especially during the current crisis and period of prolonged isolation. We recognise how so many have been left without the mechanasims and safety nets we all rely on to keep ourselves, healthy, happy, well and strong. We also recognise that so many have lost their jobs and are having to survive on significantly reduced incomes. As such, we decided to set up zoom community wellbeing sessions.
Please visit our website for more information (please note we need to develop a bespoke website for SAS Rights).

What we do:Community Cohesion, Development and Safeguarding of the most vulnerable has always remained integral to what we do best, however, these challenging times have triggered us to refocus our work towards initiatives that assist with safeguarding vulnerable, individuals, families and communities at a time when they are most likely to feel disenfranchised and isolated. We are refocusing our project to work with those at risk within the home. We have invested in infrastructure that enables us to link up with individuals via zoom to engage and reach out to those that are feeling the negative effects of being in lockdown. The focus of the wellbeing project is to keep people feeling mentally and physical well, whilst alleviating isolation.
Activities:Currenty we offer a free community exercise session, every Saturday from 10.00 am We just need you to register, go through a basic questionaire via email or via phone. Then once registered you will receive a zoom link to join the session.
