Batala Lancaster
Batala Lancaster is a community Samba Reggae drumming band, based at Ellel Village Hall, and performing locally, nationally.
We recruit new members annually in October/November and membership is open to anyone aged over 18.
members find drumming is a great way to keep fit, have fun and make friends.
What we do:
We rehearse weekly, and perform most weekend throughout the summer at festivals, galas and community events, including for charity. We are part of a wider international Batala Mundo family, who all learn the same tunes. This means we can join with other groups to perform at large events such as Notting Hill Carnival, Edinburgh Fringe and Manchester Day parade. Members can travel all over the world and perform with other Batala bands.Activities:
