Age UK – Zoom Online Dementia Support Group Hyndburn
We are here to support the older people of Lancashire and their carers throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.
In direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic Age UK Lancashire have proactively taken steps to develop and adapt our services to meet the needs of the older people of Lancashire, Blackpool and North Sefton at this time. The steps we have taken are in line with NHS guidelines and requirements and have been made in consultation with Lancashire County Council.

What we do:We launched our Dementia Online Support Group on Friday 12th June with 14 carers (some with partners) and the same number of agency representatives. The meeting was very successful and we aim to have the meetings on a fortnightly basis. There will be opportunities to ask questions and obtain information on local services and to have a chat with other carers. There will also be a guest speaker at each session. We will be able to help those unfamiliar with Zoom to set up an account and join the meeting. You can dial in on the telephone as well. Age UK Lancashire has number of computer tablets available on a long term loan basis if you do not already have a suitable device. Contact Anne Oliver for more information.
Activities:Online Zoom Support sessions for people living with dementia, their carers and support agencies . The sessions run fortnightly from 12th June between 2pm-3.30pm.
