Aawaz – Preston

Aawaz is a registered charity established in 1997. The charity works holistically and at grass roots level engaging with south Asian (and other minority) communities. We have built up expertise in providing a range of support activities that are user led.

What we do:

Aawaz offer: • Support, information and guidance • Training • Personal development, capacity building work • One to one support on a wide range of issues • Localised bespoke English language communication skills • Introduction to living in the UK for those who are new arrivals including refugee and asylum seekers • Help with completing forms (welfare benefits and others) • Health and Wellbeing activities • Volunteering • Educational and social outings and day trips • Activities for Mothers and children ( during school holidays • Community and Social events
