National Plant a Tree Day

Lancaster City Council is working with The Woodlands Trust to promote a national campaign of planting 1 million trees.

Miss Whalley’s Field is one of the areas where trees are to be planted. I would like to invite you to a tree planting day, taking place at Miss Whalley’s Field on the Sat 30th November from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Join us for full day or half a day. The first session starts at 9.30am and the second session will start at 1pm. If you have children that would like to take part, there is a child friendly session between 2pm to 3.30pm. Full training will be provided.

Please wear sensible clothes and sturdy, waterproof footwear. Bring a spade if you can, but not essential. Free refreshments. Donations of food most welcome.
