Let’s Grow Preston promotes social interaction and wellbeing for people that may find themselves socially isolated. They provide a location where people can meet socially and enjoy the outdoors whilst participating in sustaining and maintaining the garden.
Menhear has been formed to assist men to regain the fundamentals of wellbeing. Menhear promote an open-door policy and offer drop in sessions, with men provided with an opportunity to engage on a one to one basis at their own pace. Group sessions are also in place, alongside practical activities and group work.
The Curry Club provide award winning curry to the local community for just £3 per person. They offer a great way to meet new people and try a variety of different foods all cooked fresh by the team who offer everyone a very warm welcome.
Preston Panthers are a multi sports club for children and young people aged 5 – 25 years old and their siblings. The group experience a range of difficulties, yet, they all join together as they want to make a difference with the people they meet. The club is activities based, helps support understanding of different disabilities and improves social skills.
The Challenge through Sport Initiative (CSI) is a behaviour change programme of physical activity and laughter for people in recovery and their families– mostly from substance and alcohol misuse, but also including help for people with mental health issues, gaming, addictions and isolation.
